Iced Matcha Lemonade: A Green Twist on Summer
Share
There are drinks that refresh, and then there are drinks that revive. This iced matcha lemonade does both. It’s the kind of sip that wakes you up in the best way—bright, zesty, and just earthy enough to remind you that you're drinking something good for you.
I first came across this drink on a humid afternoon in Kyoto. A tiny café tucked between old wooden buildings served it in a tall glass with a paper straw and a wedge of lemon. It tasted like sunshine with a little grounding energy underneath. I’ve been recreating it ever since—with our Align Ceremonial Matcha Organic 50g for that vivid color and clean flavor that really shines against citrus.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon Align Ceremonial Matcha
- 2 ounces hot water
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1–2 teaspoons simple syrup or honey (to taste)
- Ice
How to Make It:
Sift and whisk your matcha with hot water until smooth and frothy.
In a shaker or mason jar, combine matcha, lemon juice, sweetener, and cold water.
Shake well (or stir vigorously if you don’t have a shaker).
Pour over a tall glass of ice. Add a lemon slice if you’re feeling fancy.
Why It’s a Favorite:
It’s light and hydrating with a bright flavor that still delivers matcha’s mellow energy. Perfect for warm afternoons, post-workout cool downs, or days when coffee just feels too heavy.
And for busy summer days on the go? I keep a few Align Travel Packets in my bag—perfectly portioned for quick mixing anywhere. No mess, no compromise on quality.
